Questions & answers

Frequently asked.

Everything clients usually want to know before an international or premium move — the routes to Europe, fine-art handling and crating, customs, storage and how a quote is put together.

Do you specialise in international removals from London?
Yes — it is the heart of what we do. We move London households and businesses across the Channel and on into Europe, with dedicated routes to France, Italy, Spain and Portugal, and we can quote for other European destinations. The customs side is prepared and explained, not left to you.
Which European countries do you cover?
Our dedicated routes are France, Italy, Spain and Portugal, each with a detailed route page. We also quote for other European moves on request. A full home travels by dedicated vehicle; a smaller move can go as a curated part-load on the same route.
Can you handle fine art, antiques and pianos?
That is a core part of our premium work. Paintings, antique furniture, pianos, mirrors, chandeliers, sculpture and collections are handled by crews trained for high-value contents, with bespoke timber crating and soft-wrap, in London and across Europe.
What does bespoke crating involve?
For the genuinely fragile or valuable — a painting, a marble tabletop, a chandelier — we build a made-to-measure timber crate around the piece, with internal padding and, where appropriate, climate-aware materials. It is the safest way to move something irreplaceable.
How do European removals work after Brexit?
Your used household goods can still move to the EU, but they now travel as a customs consignment — a detailed, valued inventory plus the right transit and entry documents. We prepare all of it with you before departure and explain what each is for, so the crossing is handled rather than left to chance.
Full load or part-load to Europe?
A whole home usually travels by dedicated vehicle, direct to your door. A smaller move can travel as a curated part-load, consolidated with other moves on the same route, which keeps a flat-sized move to Europe sensible. We advise honestly based on what you are moving.
Do you move premium and period London homes?
Yes — Georgian and Victorian townhouses, garden-square flats, mansion blocks and larger family homes. We protect the property carefully, plan access and parking, and treat the contents with the discretion a considered home deserves.
Do you offer secure storage, including for fine art?
We do — clean, secure storage for the gap between homes or while a European move waits for the right shipping window, with appropriate conditions and handling for fine art, antiques and high-value contents. Everything is inventoried in and out.
Do you cover the whole of London?
Yes — every borough, central to outer. We work London-wide through an international and premium lens: the move might be across town, but often it is on to Europe. For broad, everyday London moves our sister site londonremovals.homes leads.
Can you collect from outside London for a European move?
Often, yes — if a European move starts elsewhere in the UK we can plan the collection into the route. London is our base and our focus, but the Continent is the destination.
How do you work out a quote?
It comes down to the volume of what is moving, the route and access at both ends, and the level of protection your contents need — bespoke crating for fine art, for instance. For anything sizeable we survey in person or by video so the written quote is accurate rather than a rough estimate.
Are you insured for high-value contents?
Yes — we carry goods-in-transit and public liability cover on every job, including high-value fine art and antiques. Tell us about anything of unusual value at survey stage so it is covered and planned for appropriately.
Can you store our things before shipping to Europe?
Yes. If the overseas property or your dates are not ready, we can hold everything securely in the UK — with fine-art conditions where needed — and ship on the next suitable run.
Do you also do smaller and man-and-van moves?
We do, alongside the premium and international work — a single room or a smaller London move is a straightforward man-and-van job for us. For broad, everyday London removals our sister site londonremovals.homes is the general flagship.
How do we get a quote?
Request a quote through the form with what is moving and the two addresses, or call the office. We will arrange a survey where one is needed and come back with a clear written quote — no obligation, and no pressure to book.
