The difference between a general move and a fine-art move is in the preparation. A valuable painting is not simply blanket-wrapped and stacked; it is soft-wrapped in acid-free materials, corner-protected, and — for anything of real value or heading abroad — placed in a timber crate built to its exact dimensions. A marble tabletop, a gilt mirror, a chandelier: each has its own method, and our crews know them.

Pianos are their own discipline, and we move uprights and grands with the right equipment and enough trained hands, planning the access and the final position before the day. Antique and delicate furniture is wrapped, padded and, where needed, dismantled by people who understand old joints and finishes. Collections — wine, books, ceramics — are moved with care for order and inventory.

When fine art travels to Europe, correct customs valuation matters as much as the crate, and we handle both together with our international service. And when a piece needs to wait, our secure storage offers appropriate conditions for high-value contents.

How do you move a valuable painting?
Framed works and canvases are soft-wrapped with acid-free materials and glassine, corner-protected, and — for anything valuable or travelling far — placed in a made-to-measure timber crate. We can provide condition notes before and after where you need them.
Can you move a piano?
Yes — uprights and grands, in London and across Europe, with the right equipment and people. Access, stairs and the final position are all planned in advance so the instrument is handled safely throughout.
Do you handle antiques and delicate furniture?
That is core to what we do. Antique and delicate furniture is wrapped, padded and, where needed, crated, and handled by crews trained for high-value contents rather than treated like everyday flat-pack.
Can you take fine art and antiques to Europe?
Yes — with bespoke crating and correct customs valuation on the inventory. Fine art travels on our European routes to France, Italy, Spain and Portugal as readily as across London.
Do you offer fine-art storage?
We do — clean, secure storage with appropriate conditions for art, antiques and high-value contents, between moves or while a European shipping window is arranged. Everything is inventoried in and out.
