Removals from London to Italy

A considered route for a considered country — London to Milan, Rome, Tuscany and the lakes, art and antiques included.

The route

Why this move
from London.

Italy is a rewarding move and a serious distance. From London we cross the Channel, run down through France, and enter Italy either through the Alpine tunnels — Mont Blanc or Fréjus — for Milan, Turin and the lakes, or along the Riviera coast road towards Genoa. Rome, Tuscany and the south follow from there.

It is a route made for our premium and fine-art service. Moves to a Milan apartment, a Tuscan farmhouse or a Rome address often carry paintings, antiques and pianos, and the historic centres bring access puzzles — ZTL zones, narrow lanes, a final shuttle vehicle for a hill village. We plan all of it, and the valuable pieces travel crated to measure.

A full home travels by dedicated vehicle; a smaller, curated move goes as a shared part-load on a scheduled Italian run.

Where we deliver

Across Italy.

Milan & Lombardy

The design capital and the towns around it — apartment access and lift bookings planned ahead.

The Italian Lakes

Como, Garda and Maggiore — beautiful, and often needing a smaller vehicle for the final approach.

Turin & the north-west

The first city over the Alpine tunnels, and the Piedmont country around it.

Tuscany

Florence, Siena and the farmhouses in the hills — the classic Italian countryside move.

Rome & Lazio

The capital — historic-centre access and ZTL restrictions we plan around.

The south & islands

Naples and beyond; Sicily and Sardinia reached with an added ferry leg.

Customs, handled

No “sort it
at the border.”

Italy is an EU country but outside the customs-union arrangement with the UK, so your belongings move as a formal consignment with a valued inventory and transit and entry paperwork. If you are relocating your main residence, relief on used household goods is often available with the right documents. We prepare everything before departure and, for art and antiques, ensure the paperwork reflects their value correctly.

Worth thinking about

01

Historic centres and lake villages often need a smaller shuttle for the last leg — tell us the exact address at survey.

02

Rome and some northern cities have ZTL access zones with timing rules; we plan the delivery around them.

03

Art, antiques and pianos travel crated to measure — flag them early so they are planned and covered.

London to Italy — questions

Good to know.

Can you move art and antiques to Italy?
Yes — Italy is a natural route for our fine-art service. Paintings, antique furniture and pianos travel in bespoke crates, and the customs documents reflect their value properly.
Which way does a London-to-Italy move travel?
By road through France, then into Italy via the Alpine tunnels for the north or the Riviera coast road for the west. Islands get an added ferry leg we arrange for you.
Can you deliver to a Tuscan farmhouse or a lakeside village?
Yes, and the last stretch often needs a smaller vehicle. Give us the precise address and any access notes at survey so we bring the right kit.
Dedicated or shared load to Italy?
A whole house usually goes by dedicated vehicle; a smaller move travels as a curated part-load on a scheduled Italian run. We recommend honestly based on your volume.
